 Deliver Quality Content

I can’t stress enough the importance of writing quality content. People are looking for answers to their problems. That’s one of the main reasons why they go online and use search engines.

This is why it’s so important to create content that meets your audience’s needs. This should always be your top priority. Satisfied readers are key to our success as bloggers.

If people connect with your content and learn from you, they will come back for more.

They will also share your content more, increasing the chances of more people coming to your blog. Having an engaged audience will send a great message to search engines. It means your content is relevant and that leads to an increase in your blog’s authority, hence bringing you more free traffic from search engines.

Improve Your SEO

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It’s a set of practices that improves your blog and makes it rank higher on search engines, which in turn, will bring more free traffic to your content.

Here are some ways you can improve your SEO:

  1. Post consistently
  2. Format your posts
  3. Use the right keywords
  4. Link to older content
  5. Link to external valuable content
  6. Check your website’s performance

SEO is a key factor that will make or break your success as a blogger. Poor SEO-friendly content will harm you since search engines will divert traffic from your blog because they see it as non-relevant.

Since SEO is a very complex topic in itself, you may want to consider taking a course to learn more about it.

Create Catchy Headlines

A headline is the first contact readers have with your content. Having a catchy headline that entices people to click on it is key when it comes to bringing traffic to your blog.

There’s no point in putting your heart and soul into writing a blog post if your headline isn’t interesting enough to capture your readers’ attention and make them want to click on your post.

Try to create unique headlines that captivate people.

People are constantly being bombarded with information online, so you need to find a way of creating headlines that stand out from the crowd.

Improve Older Posts

Another amazing way to drive traffic to your blog is to reassess older posts (if you already created some content for your blog). Check to see if your older content is still useful for your readers.

Often things change, and what’s true today, might not be in a few months. Everything in our lives is constantly evolving, and that can happen with just about anything, so it’s important to be on top of these changes.

When it comes to your content, as a blogger, your goal is to help people. So, there’s no point in having outdated information on your blog. You’ll be losing your audience if you’re not providing them with updated information.

A great tip to improve your traffic is to be on top of your posts’ format. Try adding or replacing images as well to keep your posts looking “new” and “fresh”.

Reevaluate your content by seeing if there’s anything more you could add or explain differently, to make the post extra valuable to your readers.

Also, see if there are any broken links and replace them. This is important so people don’t click away from your blog when they hit a broken link.

Another great way to improve traffic on your content is to interlink your older posts with new posts that might relate to them.

Checking for errors or misspells may also be helpful to keep your content professional and interesting to your readers. Maybe consider subscribing to Grammarly to keep your content top-notch.

Create a Pinterest Business Account

Pinterest is a gold mine when it comes to bringing free traffic to your blog, especially as a beginner. You may not know this but Pinterest is a visual search engine that allows bloggers to promote their pins, to get traffic to their blogs.

It’s a very powerful tool and, for many bloggers, it’s their main source of traffic. A ton of bloggers are making a living from their blogs because Pinterest brings a ton of traffic to their content, products, and services.

Having a properly set up Pinterest Business account should be your main priority when having a blog.

If you create a pinnable image, with a catchy title, eye-appealing fonts, and colors, you’ll have a great chance at getting your pins noticed among other pins, hence getting more traffic to your content.

But that’s not all that goes into it. Pinterest is, as I’ve said above, a search engine. So, as for other search engines, you have to optimize your Pinterest account, to have your pins show on your audience’s feed.

Add an Enticing Call-To-Action

A CTA, as the name hints, is meant to make your readers take some sort of action. It’s meant to cause a reaction from your audience, to make them engage with you or your content.

Adding a CTA at the end of your blog post, for instance, is very important. What do you want people to do when they finish reading your post? Do you want them to leave a comment? To follow you on social media? To share your post?

This shows that you’re interested in creating a connection with your readers, which is always very important to keep them coming back for more.

You should also add CTA throughout your blog posts. This takes us to the next tip.

Offer a Valuable Freebie

A freebie is something of great value you offer your readers in exchange for their email. This way, if your audience is interested in what you have to offer, they will subscribe to your email list.

You can offer a checklist, a workbook, a mini-course, or whatever you want to create for them, as long as it’s helpful and relevant to your audience. When we show our audience that we can provide value, we gain loyal readers, that will not hesitate to come back to our content when they need more information.

By showing that you can provide value through your content, and offers, you will keep your readers happy and craving for more, which in consequence, drives more traffic to your blog. Not only that but you’ll be building your email list, which will also help you connect with your audience.

Nurture Your Email List

Your email list will be another powerful tool for your blog.

Through your email list, you’re able to connect and engage with your readers, notify them about special offers, provide tips, and let them know whenever you launch a new post.

This is an amazing way to drive traffic to your content.

It’s also a great opportunity to offer your readers a bonus in exchange for something you want. You may want to have a specific product being shared or want them to join your social media, share a specific blog post, you name it.

Growing and nurturing your email list will have an amazing impact on your future traffic, and that’s why it’s so important to work on your email list from day one.

Use Social Media

Social media is another great driver of traffic to your blog since you can share your content to get noticed more.

It’s important to set up your social media accounts to drive traffic to your blog. However, you shouldn’t start with more than 2 social media platforms. You want to always master each social media platform you’re using before moving to the next.

Also, find out where your target audience is and what social media platforms they tend to use so that you can invest your efforts in those social media accounts. There’s no point in utilizing social media platforms that your targeted audience isn’t using.

Make sure you create a social media plan to keep you consistent and on track with your efforts.

Another thing you should do is to fill out your bio information throughout your chosen social media platforms. This will also help you with SEO.

Oh! And don’t forget to include social media share buttons on your posts to make it easier for someone to share your content if they want to. You can use this plugin for your social media icons.

Experiment With Different Platforms

Quora is another way to drive traffic to your blog. It’s an online forum where people can ask questions, as well as get answers for what they need.

This platform allows you to search for questions related to your niche. You can answer these questions by providing valuable information and leaving a link to your blog or to a specific blog post that might help answer those specific questions.

Since Quora is an open forum, other people may find value in your content and end up becoming a part of your audience in the future as well, hence helping drive traffic to your content.
